Sparked Inventions

The book explained what gears were, how they worked, and how they can be used in different ways. Then it takes you step by step through the build and why it works. This progression had my sons immediately thinking of ways to use gears to make an invention. They are currently trying to build a door closing machine using hand-made gears and they are still taking notes and referencing the STEM book like real little scientists!! I love that this toy has got my sons tinkering and inventing their own things!

Real Science!

I didn't realize that the instruction book was like a whole lesson plan! My daughter came up to me talking about hypotheses and simple machines and gears- it was pretty confusing until I realized where she learned it all. I'll admit I only picked this up at the store to distract her when she had a day off school and I had zoom meetings all day. Who knew I was actually picking up her at-home education for the day!

So Fun

My girls spent all day yesterday putting this together and playing with the marble run. It was great seeing them work together to build it and fill out the project book that comes with it.

Fantastic!

We are used to legos in this house but got this as a gift and we LOVED it! My son and I put it together in about 2 hours. All of the pieces fit nicely together and the instructions were clear.
