Our Social Mission
Did you know that through the sale of our kits, Open the Joy supports the social mission of spreading joy to hospitalized children? We have partnered with the Spread The Joy Foundation to help them deliver Joy Boxes just like our kits to hospitalized kids all around the country. In 2019 alone we managed to help distribute over 2,000 boxes to over 15 different hospitals! That's a lot of happy kids!
Thank you for supporting us on our mission to bring kids joy!
When you purchase from Open the Joy you become a real life hero. Not only are you spreading joy to the child you have purchased the item for, but you are also helping us spread joy to hospitalized children all across the country!
The feel better kit is AMAZING. There are so many activities and so much joy in this box. What really drew me to this kit were the room decorations. I took them out of the box beforehand and secretly decorated my daughters entire hospital room with the decorations while she was out for her last surgery. Not only was it a great way to keep myself occupied when I would otherwise be a nervous wreck, but the look on her face when she came back to a mini celebration in her room wishing her well was priceless. Her room became the talk of the pediatric floor and she had nurses and friends popping in to see throughout the next few days. It really changed the entire atmosphere of the hospital for us. If I could I would buy a kit for every child at that hospital because it truly made such a difference in our experience there.
The feel better kit has so much to offer. It is worth investing as it lets the kids learn so much while they play with everything
Love the items combined in the feel better kit. So much for the kids to do. I especially loved the rainbow scratch art. I haven't seen those since I was a kid myself and I think I might have had even more fun than my son when it got to using that one.
All in one kit with useful stuff both entertaining and educational.
Originally I bought this for my 10 year old who was stuck inside with a broken leg for a large portion of the summer. He loved it and also shared everything in the kit with his siblings as well. When I walked into the living room with all of them sitting around one table peacefully playing together with the kit open between them I had to do a double take. I have four kids between the ages of 4 and 13 so I never dream of buying one game that they all can enjoy due to the big age gaps. But against all odds this kit had something that every one of my kids could enjoy even with their age differences. (My son also loved being the center of attention and sharing parts of his present with everyone after being left out of so many summer activities due to the cast!)
