Origami Activity Bag: Nurture Mindfulness

My little guy loves this set!!

This is the 3rd year in a row I've given my granddaughter an Open the Joy kit and they are always a big hit! Usually I get the boxes which are really nice but this year I went with the bag since I had a second gift for her and the bag was just as fun-filled as the boxes! She's become an origami pro and decorated her room with garlands of origami cranes which turned out beautifully!

This origami kit includes googly eyes and a marker with 6 colors and those extras really help bring the creations to life! The origami bookmarks are my favorite because I can customize them any way I'd like :)

I didn't know my kids could sit still for this long. They get lost in doing origami and can sit peacefully folding the designs for hours! The first could of tries were more hands-on for me since they needed help but after folding two or three together they were able to master it on their own!

Ever since getting my son into origami I have seen such an amazing improvement in his attention span. It's like this is the antidote to the ipad! I especially love how they stress mindfulness in a child-friendly way. I think it's really important to teach kids how to slow down and focus so this kit is great.
